It is made up of medieval art, with paintings by early Italians. German and Italian Rennaisance are represented, with works dating back to between the 15th and 16th century. The collection also includes the different baroque languages and works from the 19th century. Among the most representative artists are Fra Angelico, Tiziano, Tintoretto, Veronés, Zurbarán, Velázquez and Rubens, etc.

Continue to the heart of the city to visit the incredible Casa Batlló, an architectural gem with a mosaic façade and a tiled roof. It is one of Gaudí's best buildings, even though he only redesigned the old façade, making the building more beautiful and converted the main floor into a home, taking care to respect the old building. The interior courtyard is covered in ceramic pieces designed by Gaudí, which begin in dark blue on the high part, followed by lighter blues and finally white at the end. The banisters are worthy of note. There is a terrace on the upper floor and a tower covered in bits of glass, crowned by a marble coloured cross which is strangely broken, but Gaudí did not seem to mind this.
