Zacatecas Weather, Climate & Topography

Zacatecas, one of the country's most beautiful colonial cities, lies in the northern plateau of Mexico at a lofty 8,000 feet (2,460 m) above sea level. The altitude can make the city a little chilly in winter and temperatures can approach freezing. However, it is mild and dry in the summer and offers a haven to those escaping the heat and humidity of the coast.
