Introduction

Pylos, Greece, has played an important role throughout both ancient and recent history as a key site for battles and the gateway to Olympia. The architecture shows both Ottoman and Venetian influence, especially the restored Turkish Fortress of Neokastro. Also famous is Three Admirals Square with its sycamore trees in the center of town.
