Krk Island

Overview

Introduction

One of Croatia's largest islands is connected to the mainland by a toll bridge, which makes it an easy 35 mi/55 km drive from Rijeka. The two main resort towns on the island are Krk (medieval monuments and a 12th-century cathedral) and Baska (the best beaches on the island). Car ferries operate from Merag (on Cres) to Valbiska daily.
