Overview

Introduction

Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Malaysia's Sabah province, is a popular tourist spot and a gateway for people traveling to Sabah and Borneo. The city was formerly known as Jesselton and is now commonly referred to as KK.


The city center is small but has a number of cultural attractions, such as the Sabah State Museum and Sabah mosque. Take a walking tour and learn about the city's fascinating history and amalgamation of cultures.

Kinabalu National Park is located 56 mi/90 km outside of the city.
