IntroductionTruly one of the most impressive spots in the South Pacific, the Huvalu Conservation Area (often referred to as the Huvalu Rain Forest) is a world of ebony, Tahitian chestnut trees and other lush foliage. Located on the southeastern side of Niue, the rain forest demands quite a bit of walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. A bit south of the forest trail network is the access trail to barren coral rocks of Tongo Chasm, where surf pounds against high cliffs. With its wild view, it's a wonderful place for a picnic. 10 mi/16 km east of Alofi.
