IntroductionLocated on Csepel Island in the Danube, Rackeve is worth a day trip from Budapest. We liked the 15th-century Gothic church and frescoes, and the 18th-century Savoyai Palace (now used as a conference center). If you feel like getting out onto the river, kayaks and rowboats are available to rent. You can also go horseback riding at the Ujhegy Riding School. Rackeve is 20 mi/30 km south of Budapest.
