Dole

Dole is a small historic town in east France, in the Doubs river valley. It is known as the birthplace of Louis Pasteur, and for its 18th century neo-classical stone buildings using the local pink, white and black stone. Dole has been designated as a “Town of Art and History,” making it a popular destination in the Franche-Compte region.

Auxonne

Since 1172, Auxonne played many roles in French history housing the rich and powerful families of the country. However, in 843 before Auxonne became its own town, it was once a county prized for the Holy Roman Emperor. Only a short distance from Burgundy, Auxonne could not deny adopting Burgundy’s influences. This led to the town’s attachment and loyalty to the kingdom of Franc by 1574. Present-day Auxonne is a defensive structure site of Vauban and visitors can stroll around the historical walled city where Napoleon Bonaparte first received training.

Seurre

A commune in eastern France, Seurre crosses the river south of Cote-d’Or and is located in the Saone Valley.

Fragnes

Situated in the Saone-et-Loire or the Burgundy region, Fragnes is located in eastern-center France. Visitors can stroll through the local markets, tour gardens of lush greenery of Abbaye de la Bussiere, hike through Cirque du Bout du Monde, or photograph the beautiful Hospices de Beaune.

Chagny

Chagny is a tiny town in the Saône-et-Loire region of eastern France. It sits east of Burgundy and south of Beaune. The town’s sister city is England’s Garden City of Letchworth replicating its cultural, commercial and political diplomacy. Chagny’s protected environment anticipates tourists and offers outdoor activities, shopping centers, tourism services and lodging. Visitors can stroll through the 12th and 13th century Romanesque monuments and architectural influences, inhale the countryside's lush greenery while on a wine tour, and relax by the Canal du Centre afterwards.

St. Léger
