Scandinavia is about as close for North American travelers as any other European capital city, and very easy to get to. It takes around eight hours to reach the capital cities — Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm — on overnight flights from Chicago, Washington, D.C. , New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami as of September'16.

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) offers plenty of nonstop flights from major US gateways. Currently SAS connects nonstop from North America to their hub in Copenhagen via four U.S. gateways — Chicago, Washington, D.C. , New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami as of September'16.

SAS also flies nonstop to Stockholm from Chicago, Newark and Los Angeles and from Newark to Copenhagen as well. All the hubs have extensive connections with SAS to all airports within and between the Scandinavian countries. Thanks to their Star Alliance partnership with United Airlines, SAS also offers smooth connections from more than 60 cities in the U.S.

Getting to Scandinavia is easy, and getting around is even easier. The infrastructure of trains, buses, metro systems as well as ferry connections are superb.
