The Monaco bus company (CAM) offers you the possibility to move serenely in the Principality. The network covers all the tourist attractions, Museums, Exotic garden, business centers, or even the Casino or the Louis II Stadium. Enjoy also the solar boat-bus, another pleasant link between Monaco-Ville and the Casino with a playful and ecological transport.
Cabs and Car Hire
Two main taxi stands are in operation round the clock at the Avenue de Monte-Carlo (near the Casino) and the railway station. Four supplementary taxi stands: Place des Moulins, Avenue de la Costa, Fontvieille, Beach Plaza.
The Monaco bike service, now known as MonaBike, is an automated network of electric bicycle stations installed by the government and the Monaco Bus Company. MonaBike is part of the Principality's policy to cut greenhouse gas emissions, while improving shared mobility and living conditions in Monaco. With 300 BOOST electric bikes and 35 smart charging stations, MonaBike covers the entire Principality. The service is open to subscribers and occasional users, aged 16 and over.
Or what about Mobee? Mobee is a pioneering car-share scheme based on the free-floating principle. Simply take your vehicle (Renault Twizzy) and leave it wherever you like. Mobee is aimed at visitors of the Principality, as well as local users.
City Tour - Monaco Le grand tour
The running commentary provided in your own language through individual disposable head-sets will reveal all there is to know about the Rock of Monaco, Fontvieille or Monte-Carlo. Using your «pass», valid for either 1 or 2 days, you’ll be free to hop on and off the bus at any of the 12 stops to explore the many places of interest along the route, such as Palais Princier (The Prince’s palace), The Casino, or the various museums. Tour lasts approximately 1 hour not including stops; however, this may vary according to traffic conditions.
Starting and ending across from the Oceanographic Museum, the 30 minute tour includes Monaco's finest sights : Place d'Armes, Port Hercule, the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit, Monte-Carlo and Casino Square with its luxury hotels, the City Centre, the Old Town with the Ministry of State, the Princely Palace and the Cathedral. These vehicles are equipped with panoramic roofs which make the visit even more pleasant and a commentary, simultaneously translated, in 12 languages (FR-GB-D-I-E-NL-P-Russian-Japanese-Chinese-Arab-Polish) is broadcasted on board via headphones. The tickets are on sale at the ticket office "MONACO TOURS" situated opposite the Oceanographic Museum. Payment may be made in cash or by Visa Card. The trains run every day (depending on weather conditions and events in the Principality), from February to Mid-November.
