Micato Safaris: Action Adventure Travel

Micato Safaris, voted #1 World’s Best Safari Outfitter by readers of Travel+Leisure a record nine times, offers luxury safaris in East Africa, Southern Africa and India. Family-owned and run, Micato has been setting the industry standard for luxury and service for nearly five decades. For more than a quarter century, Micato’s nonprofit arm, AmericaShare, has been supporting orphaned and vulnerable children and adults affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Condé Nast Traveler has honored Micato five times with its prestigious World Savers Award in part for the Micato One for One Commitment, which places one African child in school for every safari booked.

In recent years Micato expanded its One for One Commitment to additionally donate one book to the Micato libraries in the Mukuru slum, one Huru kit of desperately needed sanitary supplies to girls in the slum, one tree to the Nairobi Greenline Project and one gallon of water to Mukuru residents for every gallon used by Micato travellers.
