Sailed the Veendam twice!
St. Thomas. St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Martin, Martinique, - the nice islands.
Pros: Smaller ship, great suites. good entertainment, easy to get around, older crowd
Cons: Starting to show some age, not enough elevators, open seating busy
Nice, but not as good as Rotterdam
Pros: Crows Nest, is the living room of the ship,in my opinion! Just love to go there and relax!
Cons: The Piano Bob, piano player was not entertaining!
Cuba and Caribbean.
Pros: We were very satisfied with our trip. Cuba in and out was very easy and interesting . People were friendly and informative. Realll enjoyed the trip.
Cons: Food on board a little disappointing.

Pros: Staff was great as well as our balcony room.
Cons: ship had no entertainment to speak of

Pros: Size of ship, size of rooms, efficient staff, fine interior decoration that suits my taste, nice classical music performance, library, food better than average
Cons: Some minor wear and tear, Having a sommelier with the hanging cup thing a bit too pretentious (they cant be sufficiently knowlegeable and arent).
Canadian maritime Cruise
Pros: Ship and stateroom were spotless and well appointed. Room service was exactly right and right on time. Service people exceeded my expectations. My agent did everything humanly possible to make the trip Easy and fun. Airport exchanges were no problem.
Cons: Nothing. Every thing went perfectly as scheduled. Good weather helped.
Pros: Great food, easy on/off, good stateroom maintanence and storage
Cons: Not enough waiters and most were not very friendlly and abrupt,seemed verybusy
Eastern Canadian Provinces
Pros: So many beautiful places to sit & visit or just sit, have wine & watch the sky & water sail by!
Cons: I was shocked by a $166 Communications Charge on my statement!
Review of Holland Am Veendam Canada cruise
Montreal, Quebec City, Charlottetown, Sydney, Halifax, Bar Harbor, Boston
Pros: exceptional pre-cruise tour in Montreal and all shore excursions were fantastic except Bar Harbor;
Cons: transfers from airport to hotel and from ship to airport were pre-paid but we were charged
Pros: Good destination. Great service. Interesting people. Lots of places to visit on the island. This cruise ship is the largest able to dock in down town Hamilton. This is a major advantage when visiting Burmuda.
Cons: None whatsoever.
